LOVE HORSES?
LOVE THE WORK.
At Blue Creek Equestrian, good care lives in the everyday details: a thoughtfully prepared feed, a clean stall, fresh water, and noticing when a horse isn’t quite themselves. We’re looking for a dependable, experienced horse person who enjoys the hands-on work of keeping a barn running well and takes pride in creating a calm, comfortable home for our horses. If you bring kindness, initiative, and care to the work you do, we’d love to hear from you.
Our current opening: Tuesday–Thursday morning caretaking
Located in Evergreen, Colorado, this part-time position pays $20/hour, with shifts of approximately 4-5 hours, beginning around 7 AM or near sunrise, depending on the season. Please indicate which mornings you can consistently commit to; you do not need to be available all three days to apply.
Morning responsibilities include feeding, turnout, stall cleaning, filling and cleaning waters, stocking hay, and general barn upkeep. Caretakers also help with arena maintenance and blanketing as directed, pay close attention to each horse’s behavior and condition, and promptly communicate anything unusual.
We’re looking for someone who is confident handling horses, reliable and punctual, attentive to instructions, and comfortable working independently as part of a small team. The role involves physical work in all weather and lifting up to 50 pounds. Reliable transportation, including in winter weather, is essential. Applicants within approximately 30 minutes of the barn are strongly preferred. Housing is not provided.
