Alexa Anderson

Alexa Anderson brings a lifelong foundation in horsemanship, shaped by years of riding, caring for horses, and learning the steady work behind a well-run barn. Like many riders, her journey began with a pony who taught her some of the most important early lessons — not just about riding, but about patience, responsibility, and partnership. From those early beginnings in Pony Club and 4-H, Alexa developed a deep understanding that horses are not just a hobby, but a way of life.

Her experience spans multiple disciplines, including dressage, three-day eventing, reining, and all-around western riding, giving her a well-rounded and adaptable approach to teaching. Alexa also has experience in therapeutic riding and is especially passionate about helping riders work through fear, build confidence, and develop trust in themselves and their horses.

Alexa enjoys working with children and adults from beginner through intermediate levels. She creates a supportive, encouraging environment where riders feel comfortable growing at their own pace. Her teaching incorporates an understanding of biomechanics, helping riders become more aware of their bodies so they can communicate clearly and effectively with the horse.

At the heart of Alexa’s philosophy is the belief that riding is a partnership. She emphasizes softness, communication, and connection, guiding horse and rider to work together with trust and intention. Her goal is to help each rider build not only skill, but a meaningful relationship with the horse that lasts far beyond the lesson.
